Details, Details, Details.

It's all in the details, right? The details everyone keeps telling me that we worry endlessly about and then barely have time to remember or see. I'm hoping I do have time to take it all in and remember some of it.
Last week and this week is all about final details. The menus, placecards, rehearsal dinner, the dance, etc etc etc.

We are pretty much done with the exception of the bags to put in everyone's room when they check in. Little goodie bags with water, advil and granola bars. I think it's mainly for the day after for those that drank a little too much!! ;-)

And programs were printed and started last Friday. I had them printed on thick 5x7 cards, hole punched and then we've or should i say I (with some help from Laura) have been putting yellow and green ribbon through them to jazz them up a bit. I have to be honest, this is the most annoying thing we've done for the wedding to date. My fingers are sore. A lot of my bridesmaids have offered to help, but all of this needs to be dropped off on Thursday night, so it's easier to just have it done now. I got the idea from Love, Honor, and Cherish.

And lastly, I need to wrap the adorable gifts I got the girls...which they pretty much know (their makeup the day of wedding, the necklaces for the wedding --which came out amazing! picture soon, and one other thing. <3>

Jarrett got the guys money clips, their ties, and a round of golf at Indian Pond which is apparently an amazing course.

Oh did I mention I can't wait for tomorrow to be over so I can just start enjoying my two weeks off?!?!

"Here's what's happening in your neck of the woods"

We've hit single digits ladies and gentlemen! And yknow what that means??? We can start checking the weather. And yes, Al Roker gave me the weather forecast today.

As we all know in New England, a 9 day weather forecast means NOTHING. So at 9 days out, we are looking at isolated thunderstorms and a temperature of 77 degrees. I'm ok with that. Not too hot, potential storm...and frankly, I bet it won't even come close to being that forecast by Sunday so no worries or stress here!
Hey, August has already been better/different than the Farmer's Almanac:
1st-3rd Heavy rainfall. 4th-7th Partial clearing and cooler. 8th-11th Hazy and muggier. 12th-15th Increasingly cloudy skies. 16th-19th Rain moves in from west; possibly heavy at times. Potential hurricane threat along the coast.

May I have this dance? Part II.

So we finally had our dance lessons, and let me just say, it wasn't pretty. Jarrett and I haven't danced together probably since college (for those of you bentley people, i think it was the Hideaway) so you get that going into this was going to be interesting from the start.

Then enter, Olga, our russian instructor who apparently thought we should move our hips and do a lot of turns and choreograph something to our song (which she also pointed out would be impossible to count!) I think she wanted us to look like this:

So we finished our 45 minute lesson concluding that we would do the one, two, three step...a turn here and there and try not to move too much. Hey, it's better than when we started and maybe after some champagne it won't be SO bad. and maybe just maybe that will lead to:

TWO WEEKS!!

holy moly, wowza, OMG, can you believe it?

i'll be a wifey in 14 days!

So in honor of this acheivement... i will give you a funny story. I think everyone has one of these things happen, and a grandmother like this. They like chotchkie's (A small piece of worthless crap, a decorative knick knack with little or no purpose) So to preface, Jarrett's grandmother is an interesting person who definetely likes chotchkie's. And very much into wanting to do something for the wedding, which is nice in theory but not when 2 boxes arrive on your doorstep filled with these wedding figurines from the dollar store and a bunch of other random stuff for the rehearsal dinner. Placecards, decorations, napkins (oh man, too funny--does the restaurant not have them??), candy for everyone that clearly could MELT in transit. ENJOY!
