The notes went out today, so I decided to post them for all to see. I picked the wording, I thought it was adorable! I got these from WeddingPaperDivas (which i love!).

Updates :)

As I pointed out recently, I HATE checklists. I mean I love them, but hate them. But thanks to my amazing fiance, we have a minister!... He's a total goofball, but I love him.

I've made my appt for the dress fitting...we have the ties for the wedding party...and I finished the thank you's from my bridal shower. I got the most adorable thank you's and once they've been sent out (tomorrow) I'll post it so you can all see.

AND we booked the house we are renting the few days before the wedding. I can't wait!!!

Jarrett & I are SO happy for all of you.

Where has all the time gone?

It's May 23, and I'm not quite sure where all the time has gone?!?! This wedding is sneaking up on me. It's unreal that in just over 2 months I'll be Jessica Britt. I was traveling this past week and it occurred to me...OMG I have a lot to do. (This of course was in between cocktails, working, and rollercoasters at 1am)

I need to:
  • Get a new minister (yes, ours cancelled b/c he works for the government and was called to DC on August 15--WTF?)
  • Finish the excel spreadsheet so we can get the invitations finalized and sent out in 3 weeks! (I remember thinking that was SO far away)
  • Find my wedding shoes so I can get my last fitting (and I need to schedule that)
  • Pick out our wedding bands
  • Finalize the band for the ceremony & cocktail hour.
  • Return the favors and have them re-done since they spelled Jarrett's name wrong (UGH!)

I must say, I am a checklist person and I HATE having things on my checklist. It stresses me out. So, in order to maintain my sanity, I must delegate. So thank you in advance Jarrett, Mom/Dad, and bridesmaids...you will be receiving your tasks shortly ;-)

Happy 3 months!

And in honor of this very special day:

  • we opened our joint bank account
  • did wedding errands
  • went wedding band shopping
  • I went to kick boxing to start my diet (for real this time ;-))

WOW, can you believe how close we are?!?!

a whole lot of questions

This post is long overdue. Nikki cursed me over a week ago and I haven't got around to doing it. I would like to point out, I am beginning this at 9:00am on the dot. I'll keep you posted when I actually finish it. These types of things overwhelm me and I don't feel I'm creative enough to follow in Nikki's footsteps.

What's your current obsession? Muesli from ABP.

What's your weirdest obsession? trashy reality tv (real housewives, rock of love etc)

What are you wearing today? Black Shirt and pants...boring!

Why is today special? Bruins Game 7, my cousin Tommy's b-day and I woke up early and RAN!

What would you like to learn to do? Take great photographs (ditto NF), play tennis(that's what the lessons are for, right babe?) be a detective (i just love it, but I'm always one step behind...)

What's for dinner today? It was supposed to be fish, but I'm going in town to watch the game so who knows?

What's the last thing you bought? Navy heels for my dress to my wedding shower and an iced coffee.

What's your favorite weather? Summer & Fall in the northeast.... 70's+, sunny. Anything but winter.

What's your most challenging goal right now? Making my number at work (damn economy) while trying to plan a wedding and NOT BE A BRIDEZILLA!

What do you think about the person who tagged you? Nikki. Fabulous. and mom-to-be SO SOON!

If you could have a house totally paid for, fully furnished anywhere in the world, where would you like it to be? Hmmm. this is tough. Of course a place in Italy or Paris would be amazing, but I think I'd really love to live in The Beaches in Toronto. This is actually where Jarrett spent his childhood. It's adorable, lots of cute shopping and dining. People are always walking around with their dogs and children and adorable houses, not overdone but full of spunk.

Favorite vacation spot? Outerbanks, NC

What would you like to have in your hands right now? a watch that said it was time to go home!

What would you like to get rid of? dog hair. i love the guy, but damn does he shed.

If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go? to get my nails done :)

What's your favorite thing about the city you live in? the food, shopping, endless amounts of sites to see. the history of it, and the sports teams!!!

If you had $150 to spend right now, what would you spend it on? a personal trainer to kick my butt into shape before the wedding

Do you admire anyone's style? i like simple clothes that can make a statement. nothing too flashy. I always like Jennifer Aniston's outfits

Describe your personal style. i have no idea! lol.

and i've completed it... 9:39am.

Recipe for Marriage

1 cup Love 1 cup Commitment

1 cup Respect 1 cup Understanding

A dash of Hope A pinch of Luck

Stir together with a lot of Faith and serve with Joy!

In honor of my not-so cheesy (thank you!) wedding shower, I just add to post that. A sincere thank you to everyone who was able to come and for my wonderful bridesmaids & mother for everything you did. It was perfect. I didn't know any of the details, just the date. It started with the most wonderful surprise, my bridesmaid Laura surprising me and coming all the way from San Diego. I literally started crying.

It was held at Sweet Basil, a restaurant I've been dying to try as Natasha raves about it. You bring your own wine (and boy did we!) and what good food. Everyone was telling me how much they loved the food. We had calamari, baked gouda in filo, pesto, butternut squash risotto, chix marsala, shrimp scampi, polenta...and there may be even more. We finished it off with an amazing cake (ricotta chocolate chip!) and a rediculous amount of presents. You all are SO generous.

I also was able to spend the weekend with my future mother-in-law, which was wonderful. We ate in the North End (Nico), had brunch at Sonsie with my mom for Mother's day and ate leftover cake for breakfast--what could be better?

This weekend reminded me what amazing friends and family I have, and I cannot wait for our wedding. But next up? Bachelorette Party!!!!!! ;-)

You people don't want us to eat...

or shower.

A few posts ago I commented how I stalk my registry. No one has told me this is uncommon... and I've continued to do it. and loved every second of it.

So I checked today and I came to a realization, the people attending my wedding don't want me to eat or shower, but want us to drink!

Things purchased:

glasses
wine glasses
wine fridge
champagne flutes
2 wine carafes
blender (mixed drinks)

Things not purchased:
plates
bowls
silverware
towels
vacuum

OK, everyone...i can take a hint. ;-)
